You Only Die Twice by Christopher Smith
Krysten’s Review
Frankly I’m shocked at the high average rating this book has. The plot and characters were cliche and overdone, and the writing was undeveloped and mediocre at best. I skipped over much of the bible verses and sermons given by the antagonists, as well as Cheryl and Patty’s inner monologues about how awful their pasts were or how their fathers taught them how to hunt moose.
The author spends way too much time talking about what they have been through and how they know what they know, and not enough time developing the plot. I was not anywhere near the edge of my seat during any point of this story. I suppose thats because most of it is describing what the ghosts are wearing or how Cheryl knows why to follow all the animals in the fire.
But I guess that is what you get for a free book from Amazon. Skip this one. Trust me.
