Trapped in Yosemite by Dana Mentink

Krysten’s Review
This was my first Dana Mentink book, and it drew me in right away. I loved how it started off with a bang (literally!) and just kept going. Mentink has a compelling writing style that kept me turning pages, and coupled with the back-to-back action that didn’t let up until the end, I finished it within a couple of days. However, I thought the “whodunit” part was a bit convoluted and a bit convenient when it was all revealed. At the end, there were some loose threads left hanging, which felt like an oversight. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the religious aspect. I consider myself a Christian, but I’m not super religious, and I felt like it really slowed down the story… but if that’s your thing, no judgment! I just wasn’t expecting it at all, and at times it was a bit “in your face.” Even so, I would definitely read another book by this author.
I received a complimentary ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
