Krysten’s Review

Overall a good story. When reading this book, I had to remind myself that the story is, of course, geared toward teens and is about teens, because there is an element of immaturity in this (and other) YA novel(s). Cameron is highly emotional, naively trusting, and easily influenced. Some of her and the other characters’ reactions were a little dramatic and/or far-fetched at times, but I am glad I was able to suspend my disbelief, because the plot actually was intriguing and fast paced. Once the story shifted away from high school (nothing like immature, snotty teenagers gossiping and spreading rumors to ruin a perfectly good storyline), it improved immensely. There was a lot of foreshadowing towards the end of the story and a great big cliffhanger on the last page. I will be reading the next in the series to find out what happens.
