Krysten’s Review

I plowed through this book over the course of a few days! Everything about it was compelling: The characters, the mystery, the romance, the setting and atmosphere. Some of it was difficult to read because of the subject matter, but these parts were handled with sensitivity. I was afraid the ending would be cliched, but to my pleasant surprise, it was an unexpected twist rather than a tired genre trope.

I have very few critiques or complaints to offer; the author is obviously talented! I did notice a few (very minor!) things that could be improved, but nothing that took away from my enjoyment of the story. I look forward to the next installment in the series. In the mean time, I will be busy devouring the author’s other novels. 😉

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
