Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish. When Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, she discovers an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read.

I don’t even know where to start. I have SO. MANY. QUESTIONS.

It’s been 12+ hours since I finished Verity. I lay awake in bed last night, my mind whirring as I tried to figure out just what ze hell happened in that book.

So much pain. So much suffering. So much delicious drama.

And so many lies. Yet…

The word “verity” means truth. Where was the truth in this story? Was the manuscript true, or was the letter? I have my suspicions.

While I love books like this that leave the ending open, I also hate books like this that leave the ending open. Although you as the reader are supposed to form your own theory and conclusions (which I have), you’ll never truly know if you’re right.

But, as they say, c’est la vie. Such is life.
